Members of Solihull Tennis Club enjoy year-round access to:
- 6 artificial grass Tennis Courts, all in first class condition:
- 3 floodlit courts with a fast green surface
- 3 non-floodlit courts with a slower blue surface
- Free use of tennis balls
- Tennis clubhouse with changing rooms, toilets and a kitchen
- Main clubhouse (Tippett's Lounge) with bar, pool, darts, table tennis and SkySports

The Tennis Clubhouse is situated just above the tennis courts and includes a sitting area, kitchen and men's’and ladies’ changing rooms with toilets. Within the Tennis clubhouse, there is a free supply of tennis balls for members to use.
Our Main Clubhouse, known as Tippett's Lounge, is situated by the car park, overlooking the cricket pitch, and is shared by the Tennis, Cricket & Bowls clubs. It includes a very pleasant outside area, recently-renovated bar & lounge area with SKY TV and facilities for Pool, Table Tennis and Darts. Most football matches are shown. There are also men’s and ladies’ changing rooms, with showers.
Opening hours for the bar are currently:
- Monday to Thursday 15:00 - 19:30 (or later according to demand)
- Friday 13:00 - 19:30 (or later according to demand)
- Saturday* 12:00 - 19:30 (or later according to demand)
- Sunday* 10:00 - 19:30 (or later according to demand)
* Food available:
- Saturday/Sunday - Ham Salad Cobs, Cheese Salad Cobs
- Sunday mornings only - Bacon Baps, Sausage Baps
Tippett's Lounge can also be hired for private functions (see below for details).
Hiring Tippett's Lounge
Information and charges for all hire enquiries are as follows:
- Tippett's Lounge can be booked for private functions. Please contact our Hirings Secretary, Rita Hammer ((phone 0121 704 9485 or e-mail ritajhammer@gmail.com) for rates and availability. Discounted rates are available for club members.
- We can offer a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering or outside caterers use. The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, large cooker, dishwasher, urn for tea/coffee making and hot water on tap.
- We have seating capacity for 80 people – we are limited to this number by insurance and fire regulations. However, numbers can be increased by the use of a marquee which can be erected outside the back doors, facing the ground (hirer to arrange).
- Tippett's Lounge is ideally suited to children’s/adults birthday parties, discos, anniversaries, christenings, wedding receptions, funerals, corporate events, and regular daytime and evening classes.
- It is centrally heated, has free Wi-Fi and Sky Sports and there is parking availability for around 50 vehicles.

Please note we can only take weekend bookings from mid-September to mid-March, as the cricket & bowls clubs use the clubhouse every Saturday and Sunday during the summer playing season.
