STC Centenary Celebration - 18th June 2022

Solihull Tennis Club was established in 1921. Our Centenary Celebrations were delayed from 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but what a great day we had when we did eventually celebrate!

Not deterred by the poor weather forecast (we did get the odd shower of rain), around 70 members (past and present) turned up and enjoyed:

• a "Davis Cup" style tournament, which was won by Team Deutschland
• a wonderful spread of sweet and savoury snacks
• a toast from the Chairman
• STC Centenary Cake
• catching up with old friends (and maybe tennis foes!)
• display of old photos and historical press clippings
• decorations around the courts and clubhouse which added to the atmosphere
